We left Seaside park at 7:00AM to drive to Vancouver, WA - 40 degrees when leaving. Had to go through a mountain range on Hwy 26 to get there. Went to the Roadmaster factory to exchange our tow bar for a newer one at a very reasonable price. Then to a Chrysler dealer just a few miles away to get a new Jeep key remote. Driving south to Portland and east we checked out the Columbia River Gorge on the Washington side. Stopped for a picnic lunch and got to watch a wind surfer. Just past our lunch spot we crossed over to the Oregon side and started traveling back west. The river is really wide there. Saw a sign for waterfalls on a side road. The 3 are beautiful. Photos can’t capture the beauty and size. Click on the lower right corner for full screen.

Day 53 travel from Seaside, OR to Silver Creek, WA
It was a rainy travel day, but had stopped by the time we arrived at the Leisure Time Resort. We stayed here in 2005, and the size of the trees still amaze us. Many Christmas tree farms in the area. It cleared off enough late in the afternoon to catch a glimpse of Mt. St. Helen from outside the gate.
The park is still so beautiful…..the flowers are not in bloom just yet because of a late spring. The staff here is extra friendly.

Day 55 Tulips
Today we traveled east on Hwy 12 to Randel to have lunch with Ben whom we met several years ago at Thousand Trails in Conroe, TX. We keep in touch through the Datastormusers location change notifications. On the way, we passed by a tulip farm and just had to stop for some photos on the way back. Day 56 Mt St Helens
It started off clear today so we decided to go to Mt. St. Helens before it started raining again. We had beautiful views from each visitor center. Tomorrow is the 31 year anniversary of the blast so there were a lot of visitors.

Day 61
Arrived at Maple Grove RV in Everett, WA yesterday. The park has all paved streets and cement sites. Larry had been hearing an noise for a while, so took the Jeep to a dealer. Seems the transfer case is worn out & needs replacing. It may be Friday before we get it back.
